The first International Festival of Language and Culture in Australia launched in Melbourne.
The International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) is an annual celebration that showcases the range of linguistic talents and cultural diversity from around the world. IFLC started in 2003 in Turkey with students from 17 countries.
In 2015, IFLC came to Australia for the first time, launching at the Melbourne Convention Centre. The debut event brought together students from across Australia and overseas, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the global IFLC movement.
Since that first Melbourne festival, IFLC Australia has continued to grow, celebrating language and culture in iconic venues and reaching audiences across the country through live performances and national broadcasts.
